Why I Love Wrestling

I couldn't tell you why I love wrestling. I know it fake. I don't care... Game of Thrones... Fake! Breaking Bad.... Fake!

I could care less that it is fake. I want to suspend belief for a while. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt. I want to buy in.

At one point in time it was a Clown fighting an IRS agent and a Cop. Then it was a Rattlesnake biting every hand that came close. Kicking his bosses ass every week! Getting one over for the common man. There are demons from hell, undead super heroes, Frankenstein's monsters, high flying masked heroes, and truly larger then life giants of both stature and personality. Slimy weasels of men... just the lowest of low. Violent, unstable psychos abound! Daredevils jumping from ladders and balconies!!!!

It is theater at its finest!

Whether you like it or not wrestling permeates all levels of pop culture. It's in music, on clothes, on TV, and in the movies. It is EVERYWHERE!!!

Maybe it is the showmanship involved? Maybe it is because of the athletic display? The theater of it all? Possibly the pyro? The raw aura exuded? All of it?? I am not sure. I couldn't tell yah. I wish I knew.

Go see an indie show! It just a great time!
